Integrated transport: how to read the new timetable
- Pinned to homepage
The new timetable changes three things: how zones are divided, how long a transfer window lasts, and how the fare is calculated across several zones. The rest stays as it was.
Zones
The fare is based on the NUMBER of zones crossed, not on distance. One stop past a zone boundary therefore costs the same as fifteen kilometres inside it. If you regularly cross a boundary, work out a season ticket — it pays off from roughly twelve journeys a month.
Transfer window
A ticket is valid for 60 minutes across two zones, with 15 minutes added per further zone. The clock starts when the ticket is validated, not when you board the first service.
Late connections
If a delay makes you miss a connection and the ticket expires, the original ticket can be honoured — but you have to get the reason confirmed by the driver or conductor. Without confirmation an inspector will not accept it.
